INCREASING MEMBERSHIP

a goal for the number of initiates needed to maintain 25 active members.

a Prospective Member party. A
copy of a proposed procedure is attached.
- Invite
prospective members and their parents to installations and other open
events.
- Invite
prospective members to social events.
- Think
up new activities to spark ENTHUSIASM.
- Read
Form 10s in Bethel meeting, so that girls will know exactly how many members
they have and how many they have LOST.
- Prepare
a membership roster each term to give to each member.
- FOLLOW
UP immediately if a daughter missed a meeting, with a telephone call or a
‘missing you’ card.
- Prepare
a CALENDAR OF EVENTS for the term and send out to all members.
- Have
Special Nights for members who have not been attending regularly.
Send special invitations.
- Guardians,
Associate Guardians, and the Line officers speak to each girl before and
after each meeting. Talk to her
about things of interest to her!
- Pay
special attention to your younger members. Older members must be careful not to make the younger
girls feel unimportant and on the outside of the group.
- Involve
new members and their parents as soon as possible.
Ask them to help with refreshments, make invitations, etc.
-
Assign sponsors or “Big Sisters” to each new
girl, to help make her feel comfortable and special.
