19’s COUNCIL MEETING on Jan. 2nd … by Tiffany Hudson The Council Members were there plus a few of us girls attended, too. The meeting went very well and there was stuff accomplished. There was a new budget committee formed and the council decided to put on a breakfast at Applebee’s as a fundraiser. I enjoyed getting to go to the meeting.
19’s REHEARSAL for OFFICIAL VISIT on Jan. 6th … by Tiffany Hudson Except for missing a couple of girls everyone else was present. We started our rehearsal in the dining hall since one of the lodges was upstairs. So by the time we set chairs up to replicate the Bethel room and got started we were told we could go upstairs. We put the chairs back from where we got them and cleaned up our stuff. I believe we all had fun while working hard.
19’s REGULAR MEETING on Jan. 9th … by Tiffany Hudson I’m so happy that you girls learned all your work so quickly. That helps to make the meeting go so much more smoothly. The meeting went by quickly and we got a lot of stuff out of the way for our Official Visit on Saturday. Afterwards we went downstairs for refreshments that Brianna Hall and I brought.
BETHEL 49’s OFFICIAL VISIT on Jan. 11th … by Brianna Hall, Jr. Miss MO Bethel 49’s O.V. started at 7:00 p.m. They initiated 5 new girls! I protemed 2nd Messenger, Jr. & Sr. Custodian. It was fun! Great Job, Bethel 49!!! You just keep on growing. Keep up the good work.
19’s OFFICIAL VISIT on Jan. 12th … by HQ Jocelyn Curless Our Official Visit went really well. GBHQ Diane Lynch and GBSP Daniella Brand helped me with my Librarian’s Report by signing “You Raise Me Up” by Josh Groben while I sang. Afterwards we had potato soup and sandwiches provided by 19’s Past Queens’ Club. … by Brianna Hall, Jr. Miss MO The girls of Bethel 19 did the Majority Ceremony for Kristin Ball, PHQ. Girls, you did an awesome job! Kristin, thank you for everything. You have been a wonderful member of our Bethel. You have stayed active till the very end. Thank You! Love, Brianna … by Tiffany Hudson All the girls did a wonderful job that morning. Congratulations to Kristin Ball who got her majority ceremony that day. We did a great job with our ritual work, so keep up the good work. You girls should be proud of yourselves; you are one amazing group of girls. … by Brittany Paglusch We all did a good job. Keep up the good ritual skills! We did a Majority Ceremony for Kristin Ball. BETHEL 58’s OFFICIAL VISIT on Jan. 12th … by Patsy Neiswander I went to Bethel 58’s Official Visit. I also made new friends. … by Tiffany Hudson Kristin Ball protemed 1st Messenger, Patsy Neiswander protemed 2nd Messenger, I protemed Jr. Custodian, and Abby Strebler sat on the sidelines. BETHEL 40 in ST. CHARLES on Jan. 16th … by Patsy Neiswander I went to Bethel 40’s meeting and they had initiation. I protemed Marshal. It was so hard because I wasn’t used to standing up for so long. But I had a good time. I love all the girls and I made a couple of new friends. … by HQ Jocelyn Curless Bethel 40 initiated one girl, Haley, on 16 – January. It went really well and afterwards we had cup cakes and chips. The whole Grand Bethel Trio, Diane Lynch, Daniella Brand, and Jen Hallahan, were in attendance and protemed in the East. … by Tiffany Hudson Patsy Neiswander protemed Marshal, Jocelyn Curless protemed 2nd Messenger, Brianna Hall protemed Jr. Custodian, and I protemed 5th Messenger. We all had fun and we went to Steak ‘N Shake for lunch. It was FUN! … Melanie Grosser (Jobie 2 Bee) When I went to Skyzone I jumped as high as I could and had fun! I liked jumping off the walls. I didn’t jump through the hoop because I didn’t want to get hurt and I didn’t want to get too high off the ground! After we were done at Skyzone we all sat in front of the window and took a picture! Then we went to Steak ‘N Shake and had lunch! Then we came back to the temple and went home! I LOVED it! … by Tiffany Hudson There were 14 girls including prospects. It was the summer of 1925 when four girls from Bethel #12 asked Mrs. Gladys Morisseau to organize a Bethel in the Clifton Heights area. At the time, Mrs. Morisseau was Worthy Matron of Friendship Chapter #214, OES. She told them that when her term of office was over, she would look into the matter. True to her word, she did just that. Bethel #19 was instituted in May, 1928, and chartered on September 23, 1928, at Clifton Heights Masonic Temple, with forty names on the charter. Mrs. Morisseau was installed as the first Bethel Guardian, and became known as "Mother" Morisseau. "Dad Max" Loewen served as the first Associate Bethel Guardian. Mother Morisseau served as Guardian for 34 years, and Dad Max served as Associate Guardian for 22 years. No one since has served Bethel #19 longer than these two. Mother Morisseau was instrumental in forming a Drill Team, Past Honored Queens' Club, Past Honored Queens Mothers' Club, and a Majority Member's Club. The Drill Team and the Majority Member's Club are no longer in existence. In the 1980's, Bethel #19 had a Pom Pon Squad, which is no longer in existence.
