Bethel #51 was chartered on April 15, 1961. Seventy-eight names were on the charter. The Grand Guardian was Miss Ina Jane Bryan and the Associate Grand Guardian was Wilber Gebauer. The hostess and host for the evening were Miss Oralee Thompson, Guardian of Bethel #12 and Mr. Anthony Gatzert, Associate Bethel Guardian of Bethel #3. The First Honored Queen was Arlene Limbaugh. Bethel Guardians have included: Lillie Barks, 1961; Verna Mae Mulkey, 1962; Edith Buss, 1962-63; Clara Nussbaum, 1964; Grace Miller, 1964; Martha Lou Bray, 1965; Geneva Sitzes, 1965-66; Lillian Beard, 1966-67; Hazel Clippard, 1967-69; Beulah Lape, 1969-71; Evelyn Barker, 1971-1972; Hazel Clippard, 1972-73; Frieda Smothers, 1973-74; Velma Roloff, 1974-76; Sally Eaker, 1976-79; Dixie Eifert, 1979-81; Niva Kay Ross, 1981-1984; Myrnita Granthem, 1984-93; Sandy Ortiz, 1993-95; Janice Beardslee, 1995-Present. Associate Bethel Guardians have included: Weldon Nussbaum, 1961-63, Charles Shiver, 1964; Alton Bray, 1965; Paul Sitze, 1965-66, Weldon Nussbaum, 1966-67; Clyde Clippard, 1967-69; Dwight Barker, 1969-1972; Clyde Clippard, 1972-73; Kennith buck, 1973-75; Don Edwards, 1975-76; Jim Springs, 1979-81; John Crampton, 1981-83; Scott Granthem, 1983-93, Tom Beardslee 1993-2002; Earl Statler, 2002-2006. Bethel #51 currently has four active members and two Jobie 2 Bees. They are under reorganization to rebuild their Bethel.
