Sincerely, Posted Monday, 11/12/2007 (11:40 p.m.): This note comes from Ginny Goede, Grand Secretary, regarding a letter to the Bethels from the IRS: I spoke with the IRS today about some Bethels getting letters and others not. They informed me that they are just beginning to send out letters and have more to send. So, if you get your letter, keep it on file, if you don't get one, around the end of January I will give you instructions. The only thing I will need to know if you had over $25,000. in receipts for the year 2007. What will happen is you will have to go to USGOV on the internet, they will have a card come up that will be a 990N You will need to know your EIN number which you all have. It starts usually with a 23- or 43- and has seven numbers following the dash. So, we will just wait until about the end of January and when I see what this Form is, I will assist with any questions. If you are wondering what it needs Job's Daughters International, Bethel #____ Mailing address, website address if you have one, your EIN, Name and address of Guardian, tax period 1/107-12/31/07 and to tell them you did not have receipts in excess of $25,000.00. I just want to keep everyone informed, you might want to let your Council know about this happening so in the future, everyone will know what we are talking about.
