Thanks, Posted Tuesday, February 19, 2008 (10:55 p.m.): This note comes from Mom Linda Petersen, Grand Bethel Guardian, regarding Mini-Session: Hi Everyone: I just wanted to give you some helpful info about the Mini-Session hotel. The name of the hotel will remain Hawthorn Park Hotel until after Mini-Session. So take the 80A exit off I-44 onto Glenstone and look for the big green Hawthorn Park sign. It’s only a block or two from I-44 on the north side of Springfield. Also you might like to know that all the rooms will have hair dryers, irons & ironing boards, coffee and free wireless. At the time the information went out we didn’t have prices on the ice cream sundaes and sodas but the head soda jerk has decided to charge $1 only for a sundae or a soda. Bring your dollars for a fun treat. The ice cream has been donated so all the proceeds will go to the Transplant Foundation. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone at Mini-Session for a “Swingin’ Good Time.”

It's a very difficult time for our family right now. A huge thank you to our Bethel adults for stepping up as this is a busy weekend for our Bethel. We found out Tuesday Night that she was in the hospital but was stable. We were then called to the hospital on Wednesday when they took her off of the dialysis machine because her BP was so low she couldn't tolerate it. The rest of the family was called in as there was nothing else the doctors could do except make her comfortable as her organs were all shutting down. Michele passed away at 6:10 p.m. last night. Plans for a memorial service will be made today and I will let everyone know. Thanks again from the Flanery Family for your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

I contracted a server virus related to mono, but this one attacks your digestive system. I was totally dehydrated and mal-nourished when admitted into the hospital. The fever is almost gone and I have been able to keep real food down, so I ask if I could come home and finish recuperating. Keva will be staying with me today so my husband can work, since I'm still not totally steady on my feet. Thanks to all those who called and checked on me. I have lost weight but I do not recommend this diet program. Jobie
