Yvette Lybarger Posted Monday, 3/3/2008 (3:15 a.m.): This note comes from Colleen Vezeau, CH #43, with a note about her husband, Papa John: To everyone - Sorry I did not get this out, but with the weather and other things going on here at home, I did not get around to it. You may have heard that Poppa John had surgery. The surgery was on Friday the 29th of February. He had knee surgery on his left knee, arthroscopic. This is his 6th one on the left knee. This is also the same knee that the re-growth was done on. The doctor showed me the pictures and the re-growth is fine, no damage to what was done back in the 90's. They just scoped to clean up the cartilage and remove debris. The doctor put 6 holes in his cartilage to make it bleed and add a little extra cushion for his knee. The doctor will explain this more to John when he goes back in 2 weeks. Poppa John is doing fine. We went to a different facility this time and the length of surgery was not as long as well as the anesthesia. He came out of the anesthesia quicker than the other times and not as groggy. Jobie
