Below you will find information regarding the 24th Annual Mid-America Hike to be held on May 5, 2012 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Registration begins at 10:00 a.m. and the walk starts at 11:00 a.m., followed by Lunch, Awards and Games at the Masonic temple. Please note that while the HIKE itself will be at the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge At Playland park in Council Bluffs, the Registration will be held at the Council Bluffs Masonic Temple. They want folks to meet at the Temple as it is not easy to get to the bridge on the Iowa side unless you know where you are going. The group will caravan to the bridge leaving the temple around 10:45 a.m. Don't miss this Fantastic Event.

For those who will be staying in the area overnight, please read the following note from John Hauser; ABG #1-IA:
May 5th Mid America HIKE is fast approaching. Just so everyone is aware Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Shareholder meeting is also on May 5th in Omaha so hotel rooms will be limited that weekend in our area or if they are available the will be very expensive.
For the folks who will be traveling to Council Bluffs for the event on Saturday we have made arrangements with the Temple Board for the Masonic Temple to be available on Friday evening May 4th for those who want to sleep over. There are bathrooms, but no shower facilities.
We would like to know by May 1 if anyone is considering taking advantage of this opportunity. Girls will need to have the appropriate CAV chaperones and it is recommended that you bring sleeping bags and air mattresses.
Please let us know how many (if any) will be staying overnight.
Also shirt orders are due April 10th. I can only extend this to April 12th to make sure we have time to get the shirt printed before the event. A limited number of shirts will be available for sale the day of the event.
